Wednesday Evening Mindfulness

Chickadees bounce from branch to branch. Dogs bark to let you know they are present. A squirrel adds something white and crunchy sounding to its nest. Cars drive by with a low hum. Birds chirp and sing to one another. Canadian geese honk from afar. Tiny leaves begin to sprout on the smaller trees. The air is clear with the slightest crispness. The frogs begin their nightly serenade. The sun has gone below the tree line but its light still fills the sky although slightly muted with each passing moment. My puppy sniffs my leg and slightly nudges me back to my body. I am thankful for this space that I can call mine. Away from the world, away from chaos. A moment in time for only me to enjoy.
